We ran into one of my ex boyfriends. And his WHOLE FAMILY.

I could only imagine they thought I was on a brunch date... in matching sweaters.

Morning Glory

Becoming a morning person is not an easy task.
It takes an actually willingness to tuck yourself in at a decent hour. This is something I have always fought.

As I approach the ripe ol' age of 25, I begin the notice what a toll sleep, the lack of, takes on my body.

So. I've been working on it.

I've been going to bed early.
No more late night showings of Project Runway or Real Housewives of whatever.
The ladies can wait.

I've set a timer on my coffee pot.
If you can't wake up smiling to the smell of coffee brewing... you're straight up crazy.

I've embraced messy hair and little-to-no make up.
Let's be honest... I'm not trying to impress any of the 19 year olds that are in my classes.
Also, I like messy hair.

I've been working out early. 
This is a life changer. A little shot of adrenaline in the AM sets my whole day right. It just feels good.

I choose to be happy.

There are plenty of things in this life that make me happy, but sometimes it's a struggle to really recognize those beautiful things. So I've been making lists. Writing down my loves, fears, challenges, blessings.
Reading. and Re-Reading. There is something to be said about a mantra. Visualizing and then doing. I love it.
I just love it.

If I never had to do my hair I would be one happy lady. 

Unfortunately, I have the mane of a ravage lioness. 

Sometimes I find treasures hidden inside (Mostly just tiny dreds) 

So my solution? Invest in head gear. No... not the dorky kind.

I guess that depends on who you ask.

I've always had a little place in my heart for a preppy headband or two, but I have found myself more drawn to the bohemian style.

I think it goes much better with the out of control hair...

I am LOVING my new lens! It's so much fun for my outfit pictures. And it looks really beefy on my camera body. 

As we know... it's all about the looks :)

Winter jacket? No thank you. I'm going to be busting out my Spring dresses! Winter here has been about 20 degrees warmer than normal which I have absolutely no complaints about. First of all, I'm a terrible driver. Add snow to that? You're just asking for disaster.

Secondly, I'm short. There is a good chance I could get buried alive in the mountains of snow. 

That's why I refuse to go snowboarding.

and I have horrible balance.

and I'm terrified of breaking my buttbone.

What? It happens.

So for now, I will be soaking up this glorious weather in bright dresses and biker boots. Because that's what I do. I'm a Spokane Kid.

I love the feeling of a perfect fit. Whether it be your toes sliding into platform pumps, lyrics that speak to your life, fingers making their way into five others or tightly wrapped arms. There is just something there that makes that moment unforgettable. Whether it's ten minutes or ten years before you feel that way again... you know it was made for you. It's like someone wrapped it up, put a big bow on it and is just waiting for you to rip it apart. 

But instead of tearing into this wonderful gift... cherish what it's made of. The look, the feel, what's behind it and how long it will last. Sometimes the shelf life is instantaneous, others last a life time.

Now I know what you're thinking...

I am in love....with these new SHOES!

Yeah, I'm serious. They are perfect. They make me 19 feet tall and they have a pretty bow in the back. I am going to wear them to the gym, just because. I need to break them in for Austin (Who am I kidding? I don't do anything at the gym). 

So there you have it. If you want to make something beautiful put a bow on it. It works every time...
