Is it the weekend?

I wish I knew what a weekend was. In the past month I have traveled an insane amount. It was been SO fun and SO exciting and very very rewarding, but I am looking forward to some downtime. Some time to just relax at home, eating gelato and watching Pitch Perfect. 

Yup I do love that movie. 

Right now I am back in Portland and just wrapped up shooting a wedding. It was beautiful and lovely and rain soaked. That's a first for me! 

I am SO wishing I could be in New York right now for Fashion Week. This WILL happen next year. One way or another. 

This weekend I am attending a polo match! It's this big event that benefits The Ronald McDonald House. Expect pretty dresses big hair and big hats! I cannot wait! I need a fascinator! I think I'll just make one.... We will see how this turns out.

I have been GO GO GO for the past 2 weeks and, I'm tellin ya, it's not slowing down!

In 13 days I head to Vegas for MAGIC Market Week (I'll be talking about that more as I get more details)

When I get back Katie and I are taking a trip to Portland. 

Then I have a wedding in Sept. and then......

I am so thrilled to be where I am in this very moment. I'm happy, focused, busy as all get up, and loving every second.

Weekend Agenda

This weekend has me SO giddy! First of all, Washington has been experiencing some of the most consistently beautiful weather. I'm in LOVE.

So what am I up to this weekend? Well right now I am getting ready to head to a wedding rehearsal with Liz and Aaron!


Their wedding day is tomorrow and I couldn't be more thrilled to be apart of it!

Oh and not to mention one of my best friends, Laura, is driving in from Denver! SO excited to see this beauty!!

Weekend Rundown

This weekend was really what I needed. I worked, spent some quality time with friends and enjoyed a little me time at home. I caught up on some Breaking Bad... Currently Obsessed. I tell everyone.

Is there any series you're addicted to? If not... I suggest Breaking Bad. Orrrr The Only Way is Essex.
A little embarrassed to admit that one. But trust me... You'll get hooked too!

This is my new favorite spot in my house. If you follow me on Twitter you would already know that my new obsession is my GoogleTV. It's the best thing EVER.

I can blog and watch tv and pin things on Pinterest and tweet and facebook. I am connected in every way.. it's crazy and I love it!

But don't worry, I'm not going to let myself become a lazy fat bottom girl.

I promise to work out harder so I can watch more tv.

Red Velvet

Loved the comments from yesterdays' post. I've actually been re-reading some!

They are that good.

It's hard to believe sometimes how WRONG past boyfriends were. But it definitely makes for a good story! I'm glad you all seemed to laugh at my poor choices. 

Well friends, it's Friday. And I made cupcakes because every Friday should be broken in with a smooth Red Velvet Cupcake. It was the first time I made them, and yeah. They are amazing! Thanks Paula Deen for helping me fatten up my coworkers. I only allowed myself 1.

I get to see my beautiful nieces and nephews this weekend and I cannot wait to kiss all over their cute little cheeks! There will be pictures to follow, don't you worry. As for right now, here is something to tide you over until Monday.

It's a bridal shoot that I did for Megan. I can't show you EVERYTHING right now... just in case her husband gets a peek... but she is BEAUTIFUL and such a joy to work with! We had the most beautiful day in the park to shoot together... I cannot wait for her wedding day!

Weekend Rundown

Friday I packed my bags and drove to Seattle for some much needed quality time with my brother. We spent the weekend shopping, eating good food and enjoying each others' company. It was so great that I didn't have to work, it is rare that I ever get a weekend off. Busy season has just begun in the restaurant biz.

Long weekend

Monday was Founder's Day at Gonzaga. And I celebrated in the most appropriate way:

 by drinking an entire bottle of wine and making pasta. #FattyPatty

Here are a few pictures from the events of the weekend. And by a few... I mean a shit ton. 

And if you're wondering why I'm swearing so much.... see the second sentence.

I ran to a beautiful park. I ate healthy food. Then I had a martini with Bacon.... well I had a sip. it wasn't awesome, unfortunately.

Spokane has the most beautiful Autumns, by the way... I dare you to send me a more beautiful picture :)

Then I worked and met up with some friends at a martini bar.

The Sapphire Lounge. I just don't think I will ever go back. Which is unfortunate. The ambiance, great. The drinks, great. The TIME. Holy you-know-what. We waited *no joke* nineteen minutes for the mixologist to create 1 drink. That's just not practical. When I want a drink I want it now. Patience just isn't my strong suit. (Although that's what my name means in Arabic.)

Because I was so impatient we headed to the next nearest bar. Baby Bar.

It's tiny and awesome and Ben was drunk and turned into a photographer. It was fantastic. 

I promise we weren't in the Red Light District, although it was just as dirrrty. hmmm
Gotta Love Spokane.

This is what my weekend looked like. I had Sunday off which is SO rare! I was going to go to that Zee Avi show, but instead Brooke and I decided to get Shellac'd! It was pretty fun. We were in need of some TLC and that is exactly what we got. (Everything but the Red Light Special)

Please tell me you remember that song!

Have you ever heard of Shellac? It's supposed to last 2-3 weeks and doesn't chip! The salon we went to didn't have that many colors.. but I'm pretty happy with the deep red (I guess I'll have to be for at least 2 weeks!)

Now it's back to real life.. although all of my monday classes got cancelled!! 3 day weekend! I know, be jealous. Kidding of course. I have a LOT of things to do. It makes my head spin.

I have to be honest with you. I had ALLLLL of Monday off so I definitely should have posted, but instead I had breakfast with family, went shopping with my mom, ate homemade lasagna and took a few outfit pics. So it wasn't an entirely unproductive day... but I could have at least said hello, right? Please forgive me.
