At times like this all you can do is laugh at your situation. I'm going to be completely honest, here we go:

For the past month or so things have been totally uncomfortable with my roommate and I. Said roommate and I have known each other since the 4th grade, but that obviously means nothing. Literally nothing.

A phrase that kept coming up: "It's my life." Yeah I get that... but when your life decisions effect me... it's my life, too.

So Today... as in right now. I am on the hunt for an apartment or a roommate. Unfortunately that friendship has been broken, trust, respect and care have been long gone for quite some time. It's difficult to say what will come next. But for me. Doors have opened.

*You may think. "Wow Sabrina, it is just one shit storm after another." And you may be right. But honestly....there is TOO much good in my life to actually worry about this. Not to sound like a total bitch-face, but really....

This is my bitch-face

And constant support from friends and family helps.
So much love.

OH! And I want to thank ALL of you from the bottom of my lil' heart for all of your sweet comments yesterday. You have NO idea how much it means to me. You had great advice, funny stories, and things that made me want to cry for days! But really I love you so much more than you will ever know!

Thanks a million my loves!

Such Great Warmth

The time has come where the night slowly takes over the day. When the cool breeze seems slightly cooler as is blows the warm sun out of your hair. That sun, you once hid from under a shady tree, is now longed for in hopes it won't leave too soon.

With the changing of the seasons comes a slight sadness as the long balmy nights fade into your distant memories. Now, looking for something to replace the warmth of that golden glow.

Fortunately, not all the beauty has faded. Leaves are changing, cinnamon accompanies every smell and that something that warms you just might leave you feeling warmer than the sun ever could.

I'm looking forward to all of the lovelies this Autumn brings.

Speaking Of Lovelies... My Niece was born last night!! Kennedy is her perfect little name. I will be taking pictures when I see her this afternoon. I love being an Auntie!

What is your favorite thing about fall? Do you even GET fall weather where you live?

Put A Bow On It

Photobucket

(Sweater- Gap, Necklace- Gift, Skirt, Bracelet, Rings- F21, Shoes- Dolce Vita, Watch-Fossil)

I love the feeling of a perfect fit. Whether it be your toes sliding into platform pumps, lyrics that speak to your life, fingers making their way into five others or tightly wrapped arms. There is just something there that makes that moment unforgettable. Whether it's ten minutes or ten years before you feel that way again... you know it was made for you. It's like someone wrapped it up, put a big bow on it and is just waiting for you to rip it apart.
But instead of tearing into this wonderful gift... cherish what it's made of. The look, the feel, what's behind it and how long it will last. Sometimes the shelf life is instantaneous, others last a life time.

Now I know what you're thinking...
"Stop being all coy, and tell us what you are actually talking about!"

Here it is, straight up.
I am in love....with these new SHOES!

Yeah, I'm serious. They are perfect. They make me 19 feet tall and they have a pretty bow in the back. I am going to wear them to the gym, just because. I need to break them in for Austin (Who am I kidding? I don't do anything at the gym).

So there you have it. If you want to make something beautiful put a bow on it. It works every time...
just like Put a Bird on it.

Hell On Heels

Say What you Will...

I Done Made the Devil a Deal...
He made me pretty, he made me smart. I'm gonna break me a million hearts.

Photobucket

I'm Hell on Heels. Baby, I'm coming for you.

Photobucket

Okay... So the lyrics don't exactly apply to me (No, I didn't strike a deal with the devil...), but I did feel like I could do some damage in those heels. As I walk the streets looking for colorful or interesting walls to take pics by, I get a ton of strange looks. (And when I say, walk the streets I hope you know what I mean). I have people stop as they're driving by, look out their apartment windows, even stop on their bikes to ask if I need help.

What I remind myself is... Fact: It's not normal to take a million pictures of yourself in public places.
Fact: I don't like being normal.

So, if you see me struttin with my camera and tripod in tow, stop and say hi... I promise it will be a good show.
Lately I've been whipping out really attractive faces. Here's a  sneak peek:

Left: Is this how you "smeyes", Tyra? Right: "What are you lookin at lady? That's the longest smoke break I've ever seen. I hope you're off the clock."

P.s. Never Heard the Song? Check it out Here!

Ohhhhh Monday. I'm actually loving you.

I promise, I am not depressed. Just going through a little thing. Although my last post seemed mopey and sad. I am actually VERY happy.
I just want to say thank you for all of your sweet comments and thank you for actually reading what I had to say. It's silly, but that is why I actually keep up this blog. So I can write. It is my outlet, my journal, my relief. It's what I love. Photos are another love, yes... but I do hope that you read :)

Sometimes I feel like I should have grown up in the late 60s. Flower child, free spirit, peace love and happiness. All of the above.
(Minus the massive amounts of drugs and lovemaking with strangers...to put it lightly.
But you know,  I'm all about that rock n' roll)

I love adventure, doing things on a whim, being the unexpected.
Love Love. Live Life.
Be Young.
Just Be.

For some reason I can't get the words out. I'm not sure why, but this post was originally supposed to be about an entirely different topic.  So For now... it will be about this.

There are those people that come into your life that you know will be there forever. Whether you talk everyday, once a week, once a year... or you may never talk to them again. They hold a little piece of your heart. I am so fortunate to have friends and family that will always be there for me and love me unconditionally. This year has brought a lot of change. And I am changing for the better. The coming and going of friends, change in jobs, and complete heartbreak. Somethings are easier to get over than others. I'm sure you can guess which one I am still dealing with.
That is what I was going to post about.
Unfortunately, It's almost like reliving it as I type each word.
So, for now, I will be thankful.

Thankful for the love in my life. The love that I experience everyday.
And the future love that I so truly deserve.

P.s. Are Harem pants even cool anymore? haha I'm not exactly sure if they are... but can I tell you how COMFY they are! It's like cute, thin sweatpants!

P.p.s. Thanks for being there through my postponing. I promise I will eventually find the words to say. (It's actually all written down. I just need to get the balls to press Publish).

I Pink I Love You

Can you spot the beer can?

I think this may be my most favorite outfit. I don't usually play favorites, but I think I really got it right with this one. I got this baggy blazer at The Gap for $12, but I haven't had the opportunity to wear it. I don't usually wear pink. I would definitely consider myself "girly" but pink just isn't in my wardrobe. But the mix of this blazer, HUGE jewels, and crisp white really just made me all giddy!

Rompin

I thought I would throw in a little outfit post in between my Cali recaps. Ya know.. just to spice things up a bit.

And let me tell you! I brought the sunshine back from California. Why yes I did! Stuffed it right into my back pocket.

Spokane is finally getting a little taste of summer. (Mine taste like fruits and veggies because I am on a major detox after the partying!) It's probably best, anyway.

I went to this little park near my house to snap a few shots before work. As I was rompin around trying to adjust the white balance on my camera and walk down hill... I twisted an ankle!! I sure looked like a fool! Who goes on a hike in wedges?

Well, then I noticed this man in his car pull up. No, not because he was all-sorts-of-hot. Because he was BLASTING  "Total eclipse of the heart" from his Ford Taurus. Needles to say, I got his digits.

Kidding of course. But he did watch my entire photoshoot and then proceeded to whistle as I trekked back to my car. Really dude? Is that really how you get chicks? I think he just expected me to jump in his Taurus and ride into the sunset. Or maybe something a little less innocent. #townfullofcreepers

Okay Okay... with out further adieu:

(Romper- F21, Shoes-Ross Bracelettes- Nordstom, F21, Macys, Bag- JoTotes)

Yes, I know this picture is seriously awkward. I wanted to add it  so I could show you my new camera bag!

Ohh... and those ugly things on my legs? Yeeeeahhh.. I fell off a bike. A few times.
I'll be posting pictures of that fiasco in the next few posts.

p.s. Thank you Shalyn for suggesting JoTotes!! I LOVE my bag! And I LOVE you!

Fake It

(Hat, maxi- Target, tank- Nordstrom, belt- F21, shoes- Rack)

Sometimes I wake up on the wrong side of the bed. Shocker, I know. Please keep reading. Sometimes I don't want to smile, or be nice to the coffee lady, or sit and listen about how everyone thinks your hot. Sometimes instead of politely smiling and giggling, I want to yell "Have you NEVER seen anyone take a picture before?!"
That being said: That is no way to live life. So here is how I cope.
Fake it, people.
I wouldn't suggest this in every aspect of life (i.e. the bedroom) but for the most part if you pretend like you feel a certain way, soon enough you'll actually start feeling as such.
It's science, I saw it on wikipedia.

So this day I pretended I was a model. And now I am officially a model. Okay, that's not true at all.
But I was in a much better mood after I snapped a few!
Moral of the story: don't let a little dark cloud ruin a perfectly beautiful day, there is always sunshine right behind it.

All Children Are Angels

(Top- Nordstrom, Necklace, Pants- AE, Shoes- Seychelles)

Except these particular two that I ran across today in the park. Here's what went down:
Here I am just snappin some photos of myself making funny faces and moving my body in strange ways. when I see this awesome tree. Right by the pond, low enough so I could climb it in heels and complete with it's own little chipmunk stairs. Can you spot them?

So I mozy on over to said tree. As I'm setting up my tripod Screaming-Kid-in-Helmet comes running by me nearly knocking my camera off the stand! Had I not seen the bike he rode in on I would have  thought that helmet was necessary for his survival. Only a few seconds later Screaming-Sister-in-Helmet follows his trail. Really? Is this the ONLY tree that you kids can play on? hmmpf.

The dad semi-apologizes saying "Kids are funny, huh?" Ummm.. yes they are.. just not yours.
They are actually stealing my tree.
My Tree.
I saw it first.

Fine, You kids have your tree, I'll find another one to climb.

P.s. I actually really love kids! But honestly I think these kids were trying to annoy me! The MINUTE I walked away from that tree they rode away on their bikes! why-I-oughtta....

Door to...

(Skirt, jacket, top- F21, jewelry- Nordstrom & Gap)

Do you ever wish you could stumble upon a little door, open it, and find something amazing? Something life changing. Take-your-stinkin-breath-away kind of good.

I sometimes dream of that little escape, an easy getaway. Where everything I wanted was picture perfect and sweet as pie. But if everything were that easy, that attainable, what would be the point of dreaming?

I dream so I can one day achieve, not to have it directly placed in my hands.
I've realized that I don't have to let one thing define me such as my aspirations to be a teacher. I am so much more than a future teacher, a bartender, a blogger, a girl in her 20s.

I may one day find that little door, just waiting to be opened. Behind it, who knows. But I'm thinking I'll pass it up and take the path less traveled. (Thanks for the suggestion Robert Frost)

Blogging From Home

Well hello there! Please excuse my PJs, but this is what I look like when I blog from home.
Okay Okay let me change into something a little more blog worthy.

Is this better?
(sweater, ring, necklace- F21, socks- Target, boots- blowfish, skirt-express)

So the weather here has been a little bit bipolar. So I decided to dress accordingly.
My most comfy sweater+bandage skirt+ tall socks and boots= ready for any kind of weather.

If my upper leg gets cold... then I guess I'm just out of luck.

Mod about you- OPI
Oh, And you can't forget the topknot! I love my lazy-go-to-hair-do.
