You can't be good at everything.

I was having a Kesha moment the other day. You know? Go insane, throw some glitter, make it rain type moment.

So I brought some glitter along on my photoshoot. My inspiration you ask?

Okay. Now, prepare to feel awkward.

These are just SOME of the terrible pictures I captured the other day. I think i'm going to start incorporating more outtakes into my posts. It's nice to laugh at yourself sometimes (or all the time), right?

Happy Wednesday Friends!

Happy Birthday Shalyn

Today is a very special day, my friends. Today is Shalyn's Birthday.

Photobucket

Last year I made THIS video for her birthday and this year Shay and DDHP totally topped me with THIS.
Soooo...
If you would like to see me making a fool of myself around my city... you should go ahead and watch this video:

I'll keep this short and sweet (just like Shay) and say this:
I am most thankful for blogging for the simple fact it has brought some of the most amazing, thoughtful and kind-heart people into my life. Shay being one of the few that I call my best.

Go give her some birthday love!!

Mohawk Tutorial

Finally!! I edited the mohawk video! Not quite sure what I'm talking about? Let me refresh:

One day I decided to give myself a mohawk.
No reason in particular. I had some time before I had to go to work, yes, I wore this to work,
and so I just started messing around.
Gwen Stefani is one of my biggest style icons, so that is what I was aiming for.
THe response was huge! I don't know if people just commented because it was just the right amount of crazy, or just because they didn't know what else to say, but it was a great day none-the-less.

So then! Katie and I decided to practice on her hair:

What are you looking for?

Do you have Google Analytics? If so, they provide you with some pretty interesting stats about your blog.

And by interesting I mean HILARIOUS.

I am currently in the process of branding my photography company, so I need to provide some stats about my blog. Page views, new visitors... ect. If you ever consider getting sponsors or working with companies you should get a good idea of these specifics!

I have seen many people do posts similar to this. So for me, this has been a long time coming, but really I was just waiting for the search terms to get GOOD.

And they are GOOD.

at best.

So here I am, sitting in Starbucks. Laughing my little head off reading all of the crazy search terms that led you to my blog.

Why am I at Starbucks and not snuggled in front of the space heater in my house, well for one, I'm out of coffee. Two, I'm fighting with my internet company. They are real jerks, ya know?

Just trying to take all my hard earned money and it's just not right.
So I cancelled.

It's really inconvenient, and I do not suggest you do it.
Can we blame my lack of internet for the lack of posts recently? Okay great. Thanks for understanding.

Here we go. Top ten HILARIOUS search terms for Sabrina Says Blog:

10. Blogger Slut.  Yikes. Well, I'm not exactly sure what I wrote that would lead people to my blog based on that term. Ohhh well.
9. Drunk Santa Girl     Maybe it was THIS video? I was sober, for the record.
8. If you smell what the rock is cooking    I wasn't aware he was still relevant. I'll take it.
7. Alcohol Party     I guess that really describes every party I host/ attended.
6. Barefoot football girl    I have no idea.
5. Just the tip      Need I say more? Read this.
4. Celebrities with moles      No, I'm not a celeb. But I do have a mole on my face. Thanks, buddy.
3. Ovary humor       Ovaries are hilarious. I don't care what they say.
2. Sabrina is such a babe I love her so much   I'm not lying. Proof:
Photobucket
I don't lie.

(1.5) Sexy Winker, Slut Hockey Moms, My wild Love Blog, Moonshine Bikini, One Direction Comforter.... Just a few of the runners up.
Normally, I wouldn't write about things like that, but I felt like it was SO outrageous and you might get a little laugh out of it.

and...

#1 weirdest hilarious search term:

1. Pretty girl far away            Shoot. You know what they say, "Cute from far, far from cute."

It's Christmas Eve, my loves.

Today is that  wondrous day before that day we give extravagant gifts. I've given all of mine away.
Christmas is over for me.
Is it weird that I am a little bitter? Not it the Grinch sort of way... just in the lack-of-any-sort-of-christmas-spririt kind of way.

I hope I'm not the only one.

Merry Christmas my pretties.

If you have hilarious search terms you should share them with me!!

Ps... here is a preview of what is to come tomorrow! OOTD post SAY WHHAAAAA.

Ghosts of Boyfriends Past: Johnson

When I first moved to Austin I was nineteen. Young, naive and the world at my finger tips.
Also, I didn't know a single soul.

So I frequented coffee shops, small bistros and shops to try to scope out... well, prospective friends.

It seemed to really work in my favor! I quickly was in with cute coffee shop manager. SCORE.

Meet Johnson:

Photobucket

Ow Ow!

I thought it would be okay to use his picture and real name because
A. it was over 5 years ago and
B. We immediately stopped talking after this experience.
Here we go:

Johnson was my first real friend.
My first crush in Austin.
He showed me around the city, took me to some great restaurants, clubs, shows....
We even went shopping together!

Not to mention he was a model/actor/musician.
Deadly combo.

He was everything I thought I wanted.
Tall. Hilarious. Could get me into clubs.
I mean, talk about opportunities!

One night Johnson calls me and says he's on his way.
"We are going to get my sweetie a new outfit and I'm takin' you out!"

Girls. I was his sweetie.
Sweetie= me.

I found the perfect dress and shoes (he took care of the bill)
and then we hit 6th street.
This is heaven to a 19 year old wild child.
Actually, this is heaven to anyone who likes to have a good time!

After a few clubs and a few cocktails I was in full on Crush Mode.
You know. He's super sweet, he bought me clothes and drinks.
So I'm going to kiss him.
That's the only option.

So, in the basement of a dark bar called Rogue. I decided to lean in for a quick kiss.
"What are you doing?!" he look terrified.

I looked around looking for his girlfriend or some sort of explanation as to why he was not a will participant in this kiss.

"Sweetie, I thought you knew. I'm gay."

Mortified.
The only rational decision I could make was to run out of the club crying like my mom just told me I couldn't have ice cream.

Johnson, the model/actor/musician.
The coffee shop manager.
The shopping fanatic.

He was kind enough to take me home.
Needless to say, I was too embarrassed to go to his coffee shop again.
Or to ever be the first to lean in for a kiss.

Guys,  I don't know how you do it.
I guess you don't run into that many lesbians.

Looking back, I wish I would have just laughed it off.
Talk about dramatic.
But when you're 19 and a guy doesn't like you (whether it's because he likes boys or not)
it's kind of the end of the world.

Please tell me I'm not the only one this has ever happened to!

Happy Friday, loves. Enjoy every minute of your weekend!!

Ghosts of Boyfriends Past: Second Place

Summer time in Spokane is Magical. The days are long, filled with trips to the lakes and patio beers. The nights, balmy and sweet.  There is something to be said about a cold drink on a warm night. It’s my most favorite thing about Spokane and it always seems to go by so fast.

Photobucket

When I had my first apartment by myself I thought I was pretty hot stuff. If I saw something (or some one) I liked, it was mine. In this case… it semi- backfired.

Photobucket
This is me, Hot Stuff.

I frequented a bar, The Blue Spark, during this summer of independence. I flirted with bartenders to get stiff drinks (never free…wah?) I made friends with everyone that passed by and danced with the live music. I was a wild child, in the best sense.

One night, this tall, statuesque man caught my eye. No ring on finger, I decided to approach.
Intercepted.
The-short-and-kind-of-awkward-friend snagged me before I could flash my ‘take-no-prisoners’ smile at my eye candy.

“Okay… You’re actually quite funny… But why do you keep reapplying chapstick?” I thought to myself.

He kept the conversation going as I tried to catch the eye of his cousin.  J* (name withheld) was in town from California for his cousins graduation. Law School.
Ding Ding Ding.
Also… they were celebrating his cousins’ recent engagement. Uhhhhh…. Damnit.

Fine. So I knew my chances with the cousin were out the window… but J was actually fun to talk to and bought me a beer.  (Is that all it takes??)

Later in the night he invited me to their family’s lake cabin for the weekend.
Unfortunately, I had to work the next day but decided to head out for a few hours to see what he was all about.

The next day I headed out to the lake to find the MOST BEAUTIFUL home equipped with a huge deck, fireplace, boats and a cooler full of beers.
Oh, hello beautiful.

I got along with everyone in the family. They were SO interested in me and my life. So sweet and kind. Telling me even if things don’t work out with J I was still invited in the summers to come on the boat.
It was a dream.

The hours passed and I had to leave for work.
I left. And he left home for Cali.

Now friends, I really built this up… right?
You would think this is a beginning to some sort of fairy tale.
.
.
.
.
Do you know me AT ALL?
C’mon.

Here’s where is gets good.

We plan a trip for me to fly to southern Cali to visit him for a few days.
Yes I plan to stay with him.
Yes I know what I big risk this was.

Luckily I had a back up plan
One of my best friends, Taylor, lived close. If need be, I could escape with her.

Foreshadowing, anyone??

I fly in to Cali.
Oh… You can’t pick me up from the airport?
Good start, buddy.

Taylor drops me off with J and he is SO tired from a long day at work we decide to just head home.
Awesome.
He asks me if I’m ready for bed.
Ummm. No.
I’m angry and wide awake.
So I stay up and watch TV. I end up falling asleep on the couch.

The next morning he gets “called in to work.” So I get to spend the day by myself.
Honestly this was probably the best day ever.
I explored the little shops around Redondo Beach, sat on a patio and drank coffee, tanned on the beach and went surfing with a local. Honestly… I didn’t want to hang out with J. My view on him changed completely.

Photobucket

That weekend, J actually tried to pass me off on one of his friends...so after that shady move, I planned my escape. (Of course I am making this sound WAY more dramatic than it actually was, mom )

We planned on meeting up with my friend Tay at some point and it worked out so I had J drop me off. Phew… that was easy! Oh wait… my luggage was still at his place.

Hmmm. Oh well.

Taylor is a guaranteed good time. Always happy, always smiling. Always.
As soon as I walked into the house I was greeted with a big hug and a margarita.
Exactly what I needed.

All conversation with J was through text at this point.
And it was pretty spiteful.
I’m not sure what flipped his switch.
Maybe it was the fact that I didn’t instantly climb into bed with him, or that I actually had a personality.

I know… I know…

All know is… he was a real dud. He isn’t even the one I wanted in the first place. So that’s what I get.

The moral here, because there is always a moral, never settle for second.
Second place is the first loser.

Ghost Of Boyfriends Past: A.C.

Did you think I ran out of stories?
I am truly hurt. What do you take me for? Some sort of quitter!?

No. Just because I have ran into a few duds... does not mean I am about ready to give up. NO! I will keep dating duds until I find the king! wait... that's not right is it?

Either way.. I will continue to provide you with entertaining stories.
I apologize for the delay. And so it goes:

His name: A.C.
The Good: Musician, funny, tan, friend of a friend.
The Bad: ohhhh boy...

I met A.C while I was visiting a friend in Seattle. I needed a little getaway and some good shopping. What I found was a cute boy from some spanish speaking country (yes this comes into play later)

Girls, don't lie, you know you can't resist a man who speaks another language.
I'm telling you...it's all sorts of attractive.

So... we hung out the weekend I was in Seattle. Took a few silly pictures. And had a first kiss that was pretty stinkin' sweet. It might have been in a closet. Sound weird? You're probably right.

Photobucket
No... I 'm not going to put a black bar over his eyes.
And yes, I always make ugly faces. Always.

We stayed in touch for the next few weeks that is how it remained. We kept in touch and saw each other when we could. It was like a long distance relationship... but not.
Here is where the NOT comes in.

We decided we would meet in Leavenworth for the weekend. A touristy-city that is fairly in between where we both live. We would do some wine tastings and just enjoy the cute little city for a few days.
Photobucket
Honestly, I don't remember much about the weekend (that's how memorable it was) BUT what I do remember:
I paid for dinner AND our hotel room. ummm...
WHAT?
Trust me, this wasn't a love shack type of deal...
a. I'm not that type of girl and
b. He was/is EXTREMELY religious.
not. gonna. happen.

So.. I just chalked it up to bad manners. I really don't know what I was thinking. I was honestly just smitten by his skills on the guitar. Pathetic, I know.
We all have our weaknesses.
He actually sang ANY song that I wanted in spanish.
Que: Hero by Enrique Eglasias.
Yeah... I'm that girl.

So here was the final straw.
New Years Eve.
It was sort of a last minute thing. We decided I would fly over, spend a few days and meet some of his friends. If nothing else.. an adventure it was.
Did I mention I paid for my flight? Yes... a flight that HE offered to pay for.
mmhmm.

New Years was fine...nothing spectacular... hung out at a friends house. Had a few drinks and watched the fireworks on TV. Woop-ee
Here is the kicker.
On my last day there we are sitting in his living room watching TV and there is a knock at the door.
BANG BANG BANG.
Me: are you going to get that?
A.C.: Ohhh I don't think it's for me.
BANG BANG BANG (Obviously on his door)
Me: I'm pretty sure it's for you
A.C.: let's go into my room until they leave.
(he is creeping out the window watching "this person" leave while I wait)

My guess... a girl. Or Jesus. Either way, he probably should have opened the door.

Moral of the story? And yes there is always a moral.
If a guy ever refuses to open a door... He is not for you.
Plain and Simple.

Snowday

My failed attempt at making a snowman.

Also... watch THIS. He is shameless and I love it. Men, take notes!

Have a great weekend! I'm snowed in!!
What are your plans?

Ghost of Boyfriends Past: Old Boat

Let me introduce to you another experience with alternate transportation.... This is Old Boat:

Photobucket
No, he's not a contestant on the the bachelorette... but how awesome is this shot for his profile?

Let's get a little bit of background...

Single is something that takes a little getting used to. After being in a relationship for over a year with Mr. Tequila Train comments like "are you OKAY" and "I promise it will get better" are simply a buzz in my ear. My only response being: I'M FINE. REALLY. You can only avoid people for so long before they feel bad for you and start trying to set you up so you won't be alone in the nursing home (The great words of Patty from Millionaire Matchmaker)

It's not like I was lonely. I had friends and I had guy friends that would fulfill my flirting needs. But dating just really wasn't a priority of mine after a long hard breakup.

But you know what? I was ready. I was ready to go out on a date, have a good time... and if nothing else eat a nice meal and maybe a beer or two. So who better to take advice from than my most recent ex boyfriend! Yeah, of course he knows the perfect guy for me.

I might have been on drugs.
Who would do this to themselves?

I proceed with the blind-ish date. (I had met him once, briefly)
He picks me up and we head out to a secret location.
I already know we are going to a nearby town....
It's really pretty in the summer and I'm a really good guesser.

And then I killed it.
I asked/stated:
Me: "Please don't tell me we are going on a cruise....?"
OldBoat: "Uhhh why? do you get sea sick?"
Me: "Maybe..."

Here is the thing. I am SO appreciative the he spent the time/money/effort to take me out on this mini voyage, but once we walked toward the dock, we boarded the Fair Maiden along with the other couples. The only difference was we were about 30 years younger than EVERYONE.

I wasn't even on the boat and I wanted to jump ship.

Boy oh boy. That's mean, I know.
Let me give you the highlights:

1.Alcohol was not inclusive in the price of the cruise
2. It was a 30 minute drive just to get there.
3. Sitting with other old couples and they don't say a WORD to us.
4. The cruise was 3 hours
5. The food was cold
6. Did I mention I didn't bring my own cash... so I couldn't sneak a shot of tequila when I went to the bathroom?

Overall... the date was a dud. He fumbled a little as he gave me a hug goodbye and definitely got the cheek when he tried to plant one on me.

All in all it was a learning experience. Do not let your ex boyfriends pick new boyfriends for you.
No matter what they say, they are trying to get back at you.
I can honestly say... that was the first battle Mr. Tequila Train ever won.

P.s. I should really stick to normal forms of transportation. Maybe a nice bike ride?

Ghost of Boyfriends Past: Tequila Train

If you're just now starting to read my blog I would like to catch you up. For the past three weeks I have been telling some great stories about how my ex-boyfriends have made some poor decisions.
Today, I am going to change things up.

I am the one at fault in this story. And so begins the Tequila Train.

Photobucket

This is B.

Situation: First Date. It's one of those dream dates you only hear about in movies. A spontaneous train ride to a little ski town in Montana. (dream date/ beginning of a horror story?) Kidding, of course.

Before the date B asked what my favorite drink was. Of course, being 20, I responded "TEQUILA!!!"

I'll tell you right now I had never had a SIP of tequila in my life prior to this train ride...
but I needed to impress my future boyfriend.

I packed my bag and headed to the train station where I met my date. We spent 7 hours on a train playing cards and shamelessly flirting. As much as I hate to admit it.. it was one of the most romantic first dates. EVER. No Lie.

Okay So it goes: we spend the day in Whitefish, MT... snuggling by the fire, walked around the lodge, bought cute snow hats...
Things people do when they're in love!
sickening... right?
Our 24 hr adventure was coming to a quick halt when we realized our train home was leaving in a few hours. We headed to the nearest bar to down the travel sized shots that were hidden safely in our carry-on.

after two six shots we boarded the train and headed back to Spokane.
As we walked to find our seat on the train, I began to stumble.

And when I say stumble I mean almost puke on passengers.

I make a mad dash to the nearest plastic bathroom and hurled my whole body into the can.
Boy Oh Boy... Why am I single?

Did I lock the door?
Yeah.. of course I did. Then I passed out.
Want to come in the bathroom? Nope.. it's occupied by a drunk girl for the next 2 hrs.
Finally coming to, I unlock the door and make my way out of the Loo.

Photobucket

I find my way snuggling into the luggage area where I am the new cargo.
I remember saying things like
"I don't feel so good."
"I can take care of myself" and
"Don't touch me... I'll get sick"
-Independent woman at her finest.

The future boyfriend seemed pretty impressed with my drinking ability and my graceful ways.
It's a wonder we dated for a year and a half.

Moral of the story is...
Don't lie.
And if you lie, do not lie about drinking tequila.
And if you lie about drinking tequila,
don't drink tequila on a train.

Plain and Simple.

Ghosts of Boyfriends Past: Tippy

Week number two of Ghosts of Boyfriends Past.
This is a story I think you will enjoy.

Photobucket
(Spokane readers: look familiar?)
We like to call him Tippy.

I have to admit I have a thing for musicians. I like a man that can carry a tune. What's so wrong with that?

Let's start from the beginning. Tippy was SO cute. Guitar in hand, singing sweet love songs and a bright white smile. (Do we see pattern here ladies?)

Mr. Tippy asked me out, so... of course I said...."Only if you take me to Froyo"

We spent about thirty six minutes drowning ourselves in cake batter goodness, then headed back to my place. Yeah... don't judge me.

Kissing began.

And then..... it happend:
No, Not IT
But this: Tippy Asked:
Have you ever had sex?
Me: Ummm Yeah. Have you?
Tippy: Yeah, totally.
Me (in my head); You are SO a virgin.
Tippy: So.....
......
...
Do you wanna try just the tip?

Me: Laughing and thinking of THIS

And then I realized... he wasn't quoting a movie.
Shit.
Tippy: Did I say something wrong?
Me: Ummm... maybe. I'm not sure how you expected this to happen?

People, All clothes were ON. There wasn't even a boob grab. How did he expect to get the tip IN?!
Wow... I'm sorry, mom, I know this is graphic. But you must understand... we were fully clothed.
There was NO WAY that tip was going in.
So, we parted ways...
With an awkward hug and a questionable goodbye..
"Are you mad?"
Me:"no.. not mad...ummm..."
"Should I go?"
Me: "Yeah, probably."

Friends... that is awkward. Holy Hell. What man asks to put just the Tip in?
I was reaaaally hoping that he was just kidding.
But no... the boyfriend gods  grant me with another dud.
Thanks a-million.
I hope he gets a lot of views.

And that my friends,

Was Just The Tip.

Ghosts of Boyfriends Past: Doggy Talk

This is the first installment of Ghosts of Boyfriends Past. Let me explain my thinking and motives behind this brain child of mine:

I have had a few boyfriends. Maaaaaybe more than a few.

Because of my impressive boyfriend resume, I have some great experience within the story-telling department. (In other departments as well, but we'll save that for a different post.) Some good, some funny, some disgusting, some embarrassing (not for me), and some SO SO sweet.

And because I consider you a great friend, I will share. That's what great friends do, right? Gossip about douche-bag boys of the past...
Okay, Okay... they weren't ALL fools...
But this one was. This is the boy with Two First Names. We'll call him JJ. He rode bikes

Photobucket

We met through the coffee shop where I worked. He was known for his Big Bright White Smile. It was insanely, almost freakishly, white.

Photobucket
Yes. This is really him.

Attraction was there. He was successful. Maturity?....wellll

There were many factors leading up to our ultimate split (He thought I was lying about having surgery and sent his sister to check if I was actually in the hospital) but the one thing that really got under my skin:

He thought his dog was a person.
Woof Daddy, was his name.
I shit you not.
I couldn't make this up, people.

Woof daddy's theme song?

At times JJ would not speak to me unless I responded to the dog first.
Me: What are we going to do tonight?
JJ: Woof daddy has some things in mind.
Me: Okay, maybe a movie? Lay low?
JJ: Woof daddy likes to do quantum physics in his down time.

Ladies, Sometimes you get blinded by the bright lights of a sweet smile. But let's face it,
I'm not trying to compete with a dog for love.
And I'm definitely not going to answer to one.

Woof daddy, I hope you find another bitch.

Photobucket

So what do you think? Are you interested in hearing more of my stories?
Should I keep this series going?

Sabby Fresh

Hello! If this is your first time on my blog, please don't be frieghtened. I do embarrassing things ALL the time. This is probably low on the embarrassing scale, comparatively.

Obviously, I have white girl swagger. Ohh I just look like a drunk white girl. Either way, I definitely broke a sweat.

I hope this video made you laugh.. whether it was at me or with me! You should send me your party rock dances and I'll edit them together! oooo HOT DAMN! I think I just came up with the next Dream Team Theme!!

We are DANCING in our next video ladies!!

P.s. There is one more shopping day until my birthday :)

Amuse Me

My humor is pretty wide spread. I tend to find amusement in just about anything... mostly myself. I definitely have an inappropriate side. I also have a really silly/ laugh-at-anything side. I think these links cover all of my bases. I promise they will put a smile on your face that makes it worth the read.

Lately, I've been looking for the perfect coffee table.

This Guys' sarcasm makes my sides hurt.

I have become a devout follower since I read this post.

I hope you laugh your little butts off.
It's alllllmost Friday!
Which means it's almost next week.
Which means I'm almost in Texas. I'm busting out my boots.

Teenage Dream Team

Here is the second video of the week, as promised! I'm pretty proud of myself for holding up my end of the deal, now here's your part:

a. Set everything aside for at least ten minutes (You're gonna want to watch this twice!)
b. Put down any beverages you may be drinking. I wouldn't want to be responsible for ruining your computer do to sudden outburst of laughter.
c. Enjoy! This has been such a fun process and I have many thanks to the following girls:

She was the brains behind this whole idea! Without her, I would be vlogging about side ponytails, thank you Rissy, I'm sure my followers thank you too!

She brought sexy back. Yes, it was gone..it is right here in this video. Thank you Ashley, for saving the sexy world.

You have won the award for making me pee my pants the most. I'm not sure if that deserves an award or if I should call you to do my laundry. Either way, I love you.

Ummm hello gorgeous! I think we can all agree we can't help but smile when we see her. "You & Me" Meetup ASAP!

Nobody quite moves it like you do. Seriously, try to shake it like her, I dare you :) I think you next vlog should be "Teach me how to be a lipsync star" You are my star, Erica.

I'm sorry your cartwheel video didn't work out, regardless you knocked it out of the park!
You brought that sweet southern charm and that southern hunk! (A vlog wouldn't be complete without that)

Thank you ladies for making this video with me and being the most rad blog friends a girl could ask for! So here it is friends, the video you have all been waiting for

P.s. Don't tell my mom I jumped on the bed!

Have a dreamy weekend! (See what I did there?)

Heart-ing GU

Synthesis of Beauvoir, Fanon, Foucault, Gramsci, Mackinnon, Collins and Butler. If these names mean anything to you, then you must be a Soc major. This is my life... but not all learning has to be boring! This is part of my final presentation for my Contemporary Theory class.

Please note*** This is NOT what Gonzaga is really like. As part of this class we are encouraged to apply others' sociological views to modern day situations. This is our interpretation. Please enjoy.

P.s. What do you think of my acting/ video production skills?! (or lack of!)

Fool'd

Don't worry, it's not one of those videos that has a nice scenic view and then something ultra ugly and scary pops out of no where.

It's worse.

Happy Friday!
