If you follow me on instagram//twitter//facebook you might have noticed I got a little dressed up last weekend.

Now it's not often I throw on my freakum dress and middle-part my hair. (I can't help but get all Beyonce on you…have you heard her new album?!)

Last weekend King Beverage and some of the best local businesses hosted a party themed: Fire and Ice.

Well played, Spokane. This event turned out to be one of the best I have been to in a long time! First,  I got to get a new dress. Ah-thank-you Lulus.com This dress was a show stopper. And I know what you're thinking. Yes, I have boobs. And no, I probably won't show them again for another six years. Maybe I should go to more parties.

And at $36? Amazing. I probably would have paid at least double had I known how big of a hit it would be.

Buy it HERE

And guess what? I didn't spill anything on myself. Not at dinner, not at the party, not after the party.
I'm pretty proud.

So I bet you're wondering who my date is, right?

Well… He's not Blog-official yet. (As some people like to say)
Although he is on my blog. And I'm sitting next to him right now watching House of Cards.

Until next time, friends! Happy Friday!

Be sure you enter my GIVEAWAY! You could win a pair of fabulous earrings!

Brunch

There is something about a little bubbles, beautiful friends and good food that makes a Sunday that much sweeter. Sharing a meal with someone is one of the most intimate and beautiful things about life (note: I said one of the most). I'm lucky to be able to share meals, laughs, stories and twerking videos with these beautiful ladies.

Being able to relate to all of these girls hasn't come easy, but in the end we have all found our own friendships in each other. Having these friendships with these incredible ladies has really made me grow and learn, accept and truly love and appreciate female friendships. So lucky for each and everyone of you.

And that goes for ALL of my lady friends. Just because you are not in this picture does not mean you are not loved and appreciated! You know who you are :)

Happy Wednesday, Friends!

Long weekend

Monday was Founder's Day at Gonzaga. And I celebrated in the most appropriate way:
by drinking an entire bottle of wine and making pasta. #FattyPatty

Here are a few pictures from the events of the weekend. And by a few... I mean a shit ton.
And if you're wondering why I'm swearing so much.... see the second sentence.

*Raven would be proud!!

I ran to a beautiful park. I ate healthy food. Then I had a martini with Bacon.... well I had a sip. it wasn't awesome, unfortunately.

Spokane has the most beautiful Autumns, by the way... I dare you to send me a more beautiful picture :)

Then I worked and met up with some friends at a martini bar.

The Sapphire Lounge. I just don't think I will ever go back. Which is unfortunate. The ambiance, great. The drinks, great. The TIME. Holy you-know-what. We waited *no joke* nineteen minutes for the mixologist to create 1 drink. That's just not practical. When I want a drink I want it now. Patience just isn't my strong suit. (Although that's what my name means in Arabic.)

Because I was so impatient we headed to the next nearest bar. Baby Bar.
It's tiny and awesome and Ben was drunk and turned into a photographer. It was fantastic.

I promise we weren't in the Red Light District, although it was just as dirrrty. hmmm
Gotta Love Spokane.

And your weekend? Tell me.

Any Spokane/ Washington Readers?

Hidden within the city

Yesterday I went on a little photo adventure (as my twitter followers already know) throughout my city. My friend Malcolm snapped a few pictures of me roaming the streets and bridges, in a non-prostitute kind of way of course. I guess I'll let you be the judge of that when I get the pictures up. Spokane is such a beautiful little town if you really look. Hidden within the busy streets and tall buildings we have the Spokane Falls. It's amazing to me how the waters starts off so still and calm. People feeding the ducks that are slowly drifting in the gentle current. It then breaks away, rolling over rocks white peaks crashing onto one another.

Until finally, it cannot be contained. A swift rush, filling the air, and everything else around with droplets of it's beauty. The sky was trying to compete releasing sprinkles that dropped sporadically on my warm skin. But the Falls won. The beauty hidden within the city.

Oh, I also took a million pictures of Kitty. Yes, her name is Kitty.
