Top Knot Tutorial

Thank you so much for your donations, love and kindness you showed from yesterday's post.
This is why I love this community so much.

Today I bring a little tutorial.
Many of you commented on my bun.
I wanted to show you how I do my top knot.
My way is not the "right way" by any means, but this works for me!
And maybe it will work for you too!

P.s. Vogue Magazine "liked" this photo on instagram! Highlight of my LIFE!

Here is a quick little video to show you the steps I take to complete my top knot!

Let me know what you think! Would you be interested in seeing more videos?
If so, what would you like to see?
I'm all about giving the people what they want.

Let's get ready.

Today I got out of bed and I said, "Sabrina, let's make a video."
Here's what happened:
I gathered my day-to-day face paints and my camera then got to work.

What the video turned out to be was revealing my far-from-perfect skin, my tricks to faking it, all the while masking my zombie look alike tendencies. My makeup skills are MEAN.

If you like my Facebook page, you will have noticed that iMovie and I have formed a new bond.
ummm... Advanced Settings?? Hellloooo... where have I been? In amateur land, that's where. Just wait for my green screen effects. You're not going to know what hit you.

So here, on this Friday of Fridays (whatever that means) I present to you a vlog featuring yours truly (that's me).

I put about 17 things on my face. It's fun and strategic and magical and set to some awesome music. So if nothing else, play this video while you are Pinteresting. I dare you.

Chain Bracelet c/o INpink.
I have an amazing promo code for you on Monday!!
Just in time for some V-day jewels!

What did you think of this video?
Should I do more?
What kind of videos would you like to see?

Happy Friday, cookies.

Mohawk Tutorial

Finally!! I edited the mohawk video! Not quite sure what I'm talking about? Let me refresh:

One day I decided to give myself a mohawk.
No reason in particular. I had some time before I had to go to work, yes, I wore this to work,
and so I just started messing around.
Gwen Stefani is one of my biggest style icons, so that is what I was aiming for.
THe response was huge! I don't know if people just commented because it was just the right amount of crazy, or just because they didn't know what else to say, but it was a great day none-the-less.

So then! Katie and I decided to practice on her hair:

We also made a little video for you.
A little How-To, if you will.

Hair Did

Here is the first lil' Vlog of the week! Can you believe it? I'm actually keeping my promises from last Friday!

I had a few comments and questions on my hair the other day, so I thought I would do a little tutorial on an easy up-do. Seriously, SO simple! You should really try and and Tweet me your pictures!!

Enjoy!

Texture Tutorial

I've had some questions about how to use textures. Here is a little tutorial on how I use them! I downloaded the textures from Brusheezy.com. Here ya go:

Choose any picture you want.

Adjust the levels and increase the amount of black just to give it a little extra pop.
Choose a texture. I really like this vintage one.
Adjust the texture to  fit over the picture.

Duplicate your original picture and put the vintage texture inbetween the two layers.

Adjust the blending mode on the texture layer to MULTIPLY and the opacity to 40-70% (whatever you think looks best)

Also adjust the opacity on the top layer
*** play around with opacity and blending modes. I also like to use soft light or overlay.

Select the texture layer. Choose the eraser and erase the texture from the skin and anything else you want to stand out.

I added another layer just for fun. Exclusion at 48%

It’s all about playing around until you get something that you like. I like photos that have a little bit of texture to them. I think it gives them a little bit of flavor. Let me know if this was helpful!
