Not a Peep

First of all... I got new shoes! I have been LUSTING over these bad boys for about... Forever.
And I found them at The Rack for a steal of a deal!

(Shirt, Jeans, Belt, Necklace- F21, Shoes- Seychelles Hawk Wedges- The Rack, Watch- Fossil)

Next, We're going to talk about insecurities.
Let me start out by saying I love ME. I love who I am and I embrace every little quirky/odd/awesome thing about myself. As a Life and Style blogger (is that what I am?) I display pictures of myself in clothes and accessories in the high hopes that they are flattering.
I like to think that I dress pretty well for my body type.

Now, let's get down to business. I am 5'3" about 121 lbs (last time I checked) by national standards that's pretty "average." I eat what I want and do a little yoga to even it all out.
So here's the deal my friends:
Love Handles.
Y'know... just a little extra around the sides.

I have always had these. Even when I was playing soccer competitively and working out all the time, these babies hold of for dear life!
But you know what? I'm okay with it. I guess I kind of have to be!

Despite what the media portrays and what "they" tell us is beautiful, I find beauty in the not-so-perfect.
I'm a real girl.
I have confidence in myself that is rooted deeply in my core and I hope that confidence is portrayed in what I do here. Not only do I love showing you my style and snippets of my life, I want to be a good example for all of my readers. Insecurities aren't talked about so much and I look up to bloggers such as Keiko Lynn who put it all out there.

Love yourself for exactly who you are.
That's why I love you!

Hey! That's a lovely message you got across to us.......I think every individual should love themselves for who they are, instead of wasting a lifetime trying to be who they aren't!! Thanx for talking about such an issue! :)

and second, i can TOTALLY relate. I'm the same height with maybe a couple more pounds on me (wish i photographed as beautifully as you!) and my love handles are the devil! But I find that when I dress like I'm aware of them it always looks better :)

aaah ! I love the shoes too! and I agree with you about confidence and being real. Ive been talking with my hubs and friends about it alot lately because I go to a school that has like 300 girls and maybe 4 guys? its adult education (aveda) but everyone is so insecure and its kinda scary, but yeah we all have them- but you have to be self confident. love what you got! I just found your blog today and I love it :)

So glad I came across your blog! It's so cute :) I am a skinny girl also, and my love handles are my insecurity as well! But, the girls who have stick straight bodies want our hips, and vice versa. I've learned to just accept it :)
